One place that holds all of it

Every holding, every debt, every country, and your written intentions for each of them — kept as one record instead of eleven logins, a folder of statements and a conversation nobody has had.

It is also the thing someone will need on the worst day of their life. That part is set out honestly further down, including what does not work yet.

What the vault holds

What you own

Sixteen kinds of holding, each with the fields that matter to it — a lock-up end date, a commitment signed but not yet funded, a custodian, an insurer. Where it sits, in what currency, and who the counterparty is.

What you owe

Mortgages and other borrowing, in their own currencies, netted against what you hold. A property is not an asset until the loan against it is in the same picture.

Who receives what

Your intention for each holding, recorded against that holding rather than in general terms — including where an intention covers something in a country whose rules would decide it differently.

Where the paperwork stands

Whether a will exists, is drafted, is signed, or you are not sure — recorded per country, alongside your care wishes and whatever lasting-power or continuing-authority arrangement you have made, wherever you made it.

All of it is locked before it leaves your device. The vault is not a folder on our servers that we can open — it is your records, encrypted with a key made from your passcode on your own machine.

Getting it out again

A record nobody can retrieve is not a record. Three ways out exist today, and all three work without us.

A full copy, any day

Two files: one a computer can read, one a person can read in plain words. Assembled on your device, free, and openable with no account and no internet connection.

The organised summary

One document gathering what you hold, where, and your intention for each — so a conversation with a qualified professional starts from a written record rather than a drawer. Generated on your device and password-protected.

The recovery phrase

The one thing that opens the vault itself. Anyone holding it and your email address can sign in and read everything — which is why it is the thing that can reach your family, and why it must be kept like a deed.

Read this before you rely on it

Nothing here reaches your family on its own

This is the part most products imply and do not do, so it is written plainly.

KinnWealth cannot tell anyone that your vault exists. There is no message sent when something happens to you, no person you can nominate inside the product, and no second key that someone else holds. We do not have your key, so there is nothing we could hand over however anyone asks — not to a family member, not to a lawyer, not to anyone acting for your estate.

What crosses is what you hand over yourself, while you can: the recovery phrase, or the exported copy, or the summary document — given deliberately to one person, out of band, before it is needed.

What does not open the vault

  • Access to the email inbox
  • A passkey — it is a fingerprint or a face, and it does not travel
  • A death certificate, a grant, or an order served on us
  • Asking us

Recovery also takes a day: twenty-four hours pass between starting one and a new passcode working, and a notice goes to the account’s email address while it runs.

If you forget both your passcode and your recovery phrase, your data cannot be recovered by KinnWealth.

So the useful thing to do is small

One sitting, and then one conversation you have been putting off.

  1. Put it all in one place

Holdings, debts, countries, and your intention for each. It does not have to be complete on day one — a partial record beats the version that only exists in your head.

  2. Take the copy out

Keep the two exported files with your other papers. They need nothing from us to open, so they survive us.

  3. Tell one person it exists

A copy of the recovery phrase can live somewhere else — a safe-deposit box, a solicitor’s file, or with the person you would want to be able to reach it. Without that step, everything above stays locked, and we cannot open it for you either.

THIS IS NOT A LEGAL WILL OR LASTING POWER OF ATTORNEY. This document is a structured summary of financial assets and intentions prepared for review by a qualified legal professional.
